Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo
At a location of your choice in Kampala, you will make your way to transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. During the drive to the park, stop over at Mpambire drum makers to see the process of making drums. You will also visit the Igongo cultural centre, where you will have lunch, you will have the chance to taste organic local food, and visit the Ankole museum to have an insight into the culture of the people of Uganda. After making your way to the park to participate in the game drives in Lake Mburo, you will have the chance to watch the herbivores grazing within the plains. After the safari experience, you will head to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay as you await the next day’s activities.
Day 2: Full day birding and departure
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will make your way to participate in birding in Lake Mburo National Park, which will lead you to the swamps of Warukiri, Miriti, and the lake side this will allow you to watch several different bird species that will make your safari experience quite rewarding. After the experience, head to your guide to transfer you back to kampala city, where you will be dropped off at a location of your choice, and this will mark the end of your 2 days birding in Lake Mburo National Park.
