DAY 1: TRANSFER TO LAKE KIVU AND COFFEE TOUR

Depending on your location in Kigali, you will met by our company representative/ guide to transfer you to Gisenyi, Nyamirundi Island where you will enjoy the wonderful and beautiful scenery of Lake Kivu. While at Nyamirundi Island, you will visit a Rwandan Cooperative plantation ‘Ingoboka’ that sustain many Rwandan people economically through growing full-bodied coffee sought for around the entire world. Still at Nyamirundi Island, you will take part in the picking of coffee beans to the washing station at Gashashi where coffee is washed in 20 steps, you will also take part in an open fire coffee roasting, and finally coffee tasting. You can as well ask questions about the finest coffee of Rwanda to Ingoboka Cooperative representatives that delight several people throughout the entire world. The experience of crop to cup tour is one of the highlights in Rwanda coffee plantation tour where you will taste and enjoy one of Africa’s greatest coffee found in Rwanda. after the experience head back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY TWO: BOAT CRUISE AND TRANSFER BACK TO KIGALI

 After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will set out to travel from Gisenyi to Kibuye on a boat cruise. You will have the most relaxing time when you head to Lake Kivu to participate ideal town to relax on Lake Kivu. Enjoy the boat ride observing a number of scenic views to make the safari experience as you enjoy the cool breeze as you enjoy the boat rides.

Instead of the boat cruise you can opt for the more adventurous kayaking expedition from Gisenyi to Kibuye. This will take you much longer than the boat but it is very adventurous. After the expedition you will embark on your journey back to Kigali having enroute lunch on the way and a stopover at nyanza king’s palace museum in butare to understand more about the history of Rwanda for a memorable experience as you head back to Kigali city where you will be dropped off at a location of your choice or Kigali international airport.
