This 4 days Uganda gorillas and wildlife safari in Rwanda will give you the chance to explore the endangered mountain gorillas in Africa when you participate in gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. In the park, you can also participate in the Batwa Trail experience, which will allow you to learn more about the former forest-dwelling group of people who co-existed with wild animals, including forest elephants, gorillas, and many more. You will also embark on wildlife safaris in Rwanda, which will lead you to Akagera National Park, famous for its Big Five animals. Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park from Kigali city
At an agreed location in Kigali city, meet up with your guide and make your way to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, famous for the mountain gorillas in Uganda, through the Cyanika border. Depending on the time you reach the hotel, you can get to participate in the Batwa trail experience, to understand more about the culture of the people of Rwanda. Day 2: Gorilla trekking and departure to Kigali city
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel with your packed lunch, you will make your way to the park headquarters to participate in the briefing session for your gorilla trekking experience in Uganda. With gorilla trekking, you will get to spend an hour with the species, observing a number of their different features as they co-exist with one another and the forests. Get ready to watch the dominant silverback that has the primary mating rights with the females, you will watch the juveniles grooming one another, and other rewarding experiences. After the safari experience, connect with your guide, who will transfer you back to Kigali city, where you will be dropped off at your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Kigali city tour
After an early morning breakfast, on the 3rd day of your 4 days Uganda gorillas and wildlife safari in Rwanda, you will embark on the Kigali city tour, a more relaxing adventure that will give you access to several rewarding experiences and attractions. You will visit the Kigali genocide memorial museum to understand more about the 1994 Rwanda genocide. You will visit the Kimironko market, where you will engage with the locals, and also get to visit the Nyamirambo women’s center to observe the women-led initiatives that have empowered them. After the safari experience, head to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay, as the night before.
Day 4: Transfer to Akagera National Park and a full Game drive
As early as 6:00 am, connect with your guide and make your way to Akagera National Park, famous for the big five animals. The safari experience will focus on tracking the big five when you participate in the game drives in Akagera National Park. The morning game drive will give you access to the early risers, and the evening game drives will give you access to the carnivores as they hunt within the plains. After your Safari, return to connect with your driver guide to embark on your transfer back to Kigali, having lunch en route, and drop off at a location of your choice in Kigali city.
