Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and fly to Kidepo Valley National park-evening game drive
Depending on your point of location on the first day of the 5 Days Kidepo Wildlife Safari Flying Option, our professional driver guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala or in Entebbe International Airport and transfer you to Entebbe International Airport for your domestic flight with Aero link Uganda to Kidepo valley national park which departs at 12:30 noon. Upon reaching, you will Arrive at Apoka Airstrip, where you will find our driver-guide waiting for you to transfer to the lodge for lunch. After lunch and check-in, you will relax at the lodge and later on participate in the evening game drive where you will be able to explore a vast of animals like elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, klipspringer, reedbucks, lions, leopards, Uganda kobs among others. After the game drive you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Kidepo Savannah lodge-midrange or Apoka Safari lodge-luxury.

Day 2: Morning game drive and cultural tour
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will meet up with your driver guide to embark on a morning game drive in Narus Valley where you will watch the Narus River where a number of animals can be seen quenching their thirst from The Narus valley attracts a wide range of wild animals like buffaloes, elephants, Uganda kobs and many others. You will also get a chance to watch a number of bird species so don’t forget to carry your birding checklist. After the game drive, drive back to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will go for a memorable cultural tour which will lead you to the Karamojong people who live in the neighboring villages. During the cultural tour, you will be able to learn about their unique culture, tradition, and way of living, visit the Karamojong manyattas, get to taste their food, enjoy their traditional songs, and dances, and many more. After the cultural tour, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 3: Game drive in Kidepo valley and Hot springs visit
After breakfast, connect for yet another game drive in the Kidepo valley. This area is further from Narus Valley and it is where you will find the Ostrich birds and other animals. This area is closer to the South Sudan border with Uganda. You will also visit the hot springs of Kanangorok before you return to your lodge. Spend the rest of the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above
Day 4: Mount Morungole hike to visit the IK tribe
After breakfast, drive to the starting point of Mount Morungole located in the absolute northern hills of Karamoja. Here is where we find the smallest tribe of Uganda called the IK. The IK people lived in nowadays Kidepo Valley National Park but were misplaced when the area was gazetted as a national park. The IK now lives on Mount Morungole ridges as a community. Visiting the IK people gives visitors a rare insight into the unique tribe/culture in Africa. You will also enjoy the beautiful scenery, the higher the climb takes you, the more breathtaking the scenes in the valleys below and into the Eastern rift valley of Kenya and over to southern Sudan. Day 5: Morning game drive and fly to Entebbe.
On your last day of the 5 Days Kidepo Wildlife Safari Flying Option, after breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to head for another unforgettable game drive where you will be able to view some of the animals that you might have missed out on during your previous game drives. After the game drive, you will have lunch and be transferred to Apoka airstrip for your domestic flight back to Entebbe International Airport to catch up on your flight back home or be dropped off at the hotel.
