Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Akagera National Park and Ihema Boat Cruise.
On day 1 of the 5 Days Uganda and Rwanda Safari, you will be met by your driver guide at your agreed location in Kigali to transfer to Akagera National Park where you will arrive in time to participate in the afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema where you will see game hippopotamuses, Crocodiles and many bird species like the endangered shoe bill stork, African Kingfishers catching their prey from the Lake that live around the lake and the surrounding swamps. Transfer to your pack for dinner and overnight stay at Karenge bush camp(budget) Akagera game lodge (mid-range)
Day 2: Full-day game drive
On the 2nd day of the 5 Days Uganda and Rwanda Safari, rise up early and go for a game drive with great anticipation of seeing the different animals like the herbivores, the big five animals in Rwanda which rise early to graze and predators looking for their early morning kill. After the game drive, make your way to Kigali city. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Des Mille Collines.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
On the 3rd day of the 5 Days Uganda and Rwanda Safari, after your Kigali city tour, you will then make your way to Uganda through the Cyanika border and later make your way to Bwindi impenetrable national park.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking Uganda – Bwindi
On the 4th day of the 5 Days Uganda and Rwanda Safari, enjoy an early morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for a briefing by the ranger guides and later head into the forest for your trek. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi takes 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. These primates roam the park freely and there is no way of telling where they will be for a particular day.
On finding them, you will be allowed 1 hour to view and take photos of these gentle primates, enjoy your lunch packs meet your driver/guide and transfer back to your lodge. The time after trekking can be spent on a village tour or lazing off at the hotel as you savor the memories of your gorilla trek in Bwindi and prepare for the next day. Dinner and overnight at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge (mid-range), and Silverback Gorilla Lodge( luxury)
Day 5: Fly to Entebbe airport
On the 5th day of the 5 Days Uganda and Rwanda Safari, have breakfast and depart to Kihihi airstrip for your afternoon scheduled flight to Entebbe. Aerolink operates two scheduled daily flights to Bwindi at 07:45 am and 12:45 pm so depending on your departure flight back home, I will book a domestic flight depending on availability.
On arrival at Entebbe airport, meet another driver to take you to your own booked accommodation.
