Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
You will be met by your driver guide at your agreed location in Kigali city to transfer to Volcanoes National Park, where you will arrive in time to participate in the Ibyi’wacu cultural village tour. Have a guided walk around the village at the different sites that exhibit the different aspects of the people of the village to gain insight into the interesting features of the culture of the people of Rwanda. You can also get the chance to visit the Musanze caves, which have rich cultural attributes, which will give you the opportunity to understand more about the history of the people of Rwanda. The caves were used as coronation grounds for the Kings of Rwanda. After the experience, head to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. Day 2: First gorilla trekking experience in Rwanda
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel and with your packed lunch, you will make your way to the park headquarters, participate in the briefing session about your gorilla trekking experience in Rwanda, and then be assigned to a guide and ranger to embark on your safari experience. With gorilla trekking in the park, you will spend an hour with the species, understanding a number of rewarding features in their natural habitat. After your one hour elapses with the species, you will head to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Second gorilla trekking experience in Rwanda
Wake up early, have breakfast and head to the park to participate in your second gorilla trekking experience in volcanoes national park which will give you the chance to watch the species as they go about their daily activities and also get to enjoy them for one last time observing some behavior you might have missed out on in the first gorilla trekking experience in Rwanda. After the experience, you will head back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Golden monkey trekking in Rwanda and departure
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up from your hotel. Our guide will meet you after having your breakfast and your lunches packed, and he will take you to Kinigi Headquarters, where you are expected to be given a brief before starting the gorilla trek. This brief is done at 7 am. You are given guidelines during this brief before you are allowed to start the trek. To be quite different from the gorillas in the wild, the mountain gorillas.
