The 2 Day Akagera park safari , offers just a bout the slightest of experience of Rwanda’s amazing akagera national park filled with diversity of wildlife to mention the rhinos that have been recently trans-located, lions, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, elephants, leopards, antelopes, topis, jacksons hartebeests among several wildlife and bird species.
Day 1: Transfer to Akagera national park – Boat cruise on Lake Ihema
Depending on your location in Kigali city or after your arrival at Kigali International airport, you will be met by our company representative who at the same time will be your safari guide. He will introduce himself and brief you about the trip. Thereafter embark on a 2-3 hours’ drive to Akagera national park with the beautiful sights of the landscape. On arrival at the park, drive to your booked lodge with views of some animals along your way. Proceed to check-in your lodge, enjoy your lunch and later afternoon, go for a boat trip on Lake Ihema. The boat is refreshing with stunning views of both water and land animals that come to drink and bath from the lake like the elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes. Expect to encounter the hippos, crocodiles and some water birds. Later evening, enjoy the sunset game drive in the savannah area in the park and expect lots of animals especially the predators like the lions. Return to your lodge, refresh, have dinner and spend a night at the lodge.

Day 2: Morning game drive and return to Kigali/Kigali airport
Wake up early morning, enjoy your breakfast, and then meet your driver and ranger guide for an early morning game drive when the animals are very active. The game drive exposes you to a number of animals including; the buffaloes, Elephants, Leopards, lions and Rhinos. Other animals to expect include giraffes, hippos, Kobs, Zebras, Bushbucks, and waterbucks. Bird species can be spotted in places including the woodland, swamps, lakes and Savannah. This will last about 4 hours.
Have lunch at your lodge’s restaurant. After lunch, check-out of the lodge and return to Kigali city. Depending on your plans, the safari guide will either drive you to a location you advise or drive you off to the airport where you will check-in for your flight back home. End of trip
