Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe and canopy walk
At an agreed location in Kigali city, meet up with our guide to embark on your drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park. The safari experience will give you the stunning views of the rolling hills, the tea and coffee estates, and many other attractions. You will have a stopover at the Nyanza King’s palace for a look into the culture of the people of Rwanda, and later embark on your way to the park. On reaching, you will participate in the canopy walk, which will give you access to the aerial view of the park as you enjoy the walk. You will watch the primates swinging within the trees like the chimpanzees, grey-cheeked mangabeys, red-tailed monkeys, and many other rewarding attractions. After the safari experience, you will make your way to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Muzimu trail hike and departure
Wake up early, make your way to the park, and embark on your muzimu trail hike. This hike starts at the Gisovu ranger post, which will lead them to a 3-hour hike that will open up several different attractions in the park. Some of the notable attractions include the Albertine endemic bird species, like scenic views that give you a 360 degree views of the park, and also views of Lake Kivu and the Virunga mountains. For botanists, the wildflowers like the blue and yellow commelina, morning glories, and many more can be seen. After the safari experience along the breathtaking trail, you will make your way back to Kigali city for drop off at an agreed location.
