Day 1; Pick up Kigali and transfer to Akagera national park

Following your 1 day Akagera national park safari ,Meet your safari guide as early as 5 am and embark on your journey to Akagera national park. The park is located in the North East of Rwanda and the only savannah park in Rwanda with several mammal and bird species. Akagera national park has the big five game including the buffaloes, Elephants, Leopards, lions and Rhinos. Other animals to expect include giraffes, hippos, Kobs, Zebras, Bushbucks, and waterbucks. Bird species can be spotted in places including the woodland, swamps, lakes and Savannah. You will get to the park early, enter and register at the entry where you will also get a ranger guide. Connect for a morning game drive in the park, this will take about 2-4 hours depending on your interest and animal sights.

Connect for hot lunch at Akagera Game lodge restaurant or if you have your own packed lunch, dine before you either connect for a boat trip on Lake Ihema or another game drive. The boat trip on Lake Ihema is scheduled, so doing the boat will depend on the time. Alternatively, after lunch, connect for the missed animals making it at full day game drive. Thereafter, drive out of the park to return to Kigali and be dropped at a location you will advise. End of tour.
