Boat cruise

The boat cruise in Akagera National Park

For a number of travellers interested in participating in the boat cruise in Akagera National Park, you will have an amazing safari participating in the boat cruise on Lake Ihema which will give you a rewarding experience enjoying the boat rides, you will watch the endangered shoe bill stork and many other attractions. The boat cruise is carried out at;

• 7:30 – 8:30 am
• 9:00 – 10:00 am
• 3:00 – 4:00 pm
• 4:30 – 6:00 pm which is the sunset trip and for the Private boat trips can be organized and are charged at a flat rate for the boat and these start between 10.30 am – 1.30 pm

Game drives

The game drives in Akagera National Park are the most sought-after activities that can be carried out which will give you the opportunity to access a number of different attractions while enjoying the game drives while enjoying the safari experience in the wild.

For the full-day game drive, the safari experience starts as early as 6:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm, the half-day game drive can start at any given time in the morning to 12:00 midday

For the night game drive in the park, it starts as early as 5:00 pm- 8:00 pm-8:30 pm

During the game drives, you will watch the big five animals in Rwanda the herbivores grazing in the plains and the carnivores catching their prey which is quite thrilling to watch how the species interact with one another.

Hot air balloon safari

The hot air balloon safari will give you the chance to watch a number of rewarding features in the park enjoying the flight in the park for a memorable safari experience. Organised by the royal balloon in Akagera National Park, the hot air balloon safaris in the park start as early as 5:00 am and others at 7:00 am and the flight takes one hour to fly over the country.

Walk the line safari

For travellers interested in sustainable tourism, participating in the walk-the-line safari will give you the chance to help you understand the conservation efforts of the park management in the park. During the safari experience, you will have a walk along the fence with a guide which will take you about 2 hours watching a number of views in the park. The safari starts as early as 7:00 am and ends at 9:00 am. It should be noted that the safari experience can be carried out at any given time of the day.
