For a comprehensive coffee tour and sustainable safari experience in Rwanda, embarking on this 1 day Huye Mountain coffee tour will give you the answer to your travel expectations. The safari experience will lead you southwards of Rwanda, which is usually a stopover for travelers who make their way to Nyungwe National Park to participate in chimpanzee trekking. The tour will start from Kigali city, where meet up with the guide who will drive you to Huye city to embark on your coffee tour. On reaching the coffee initiative, get ready for a 3 hour’s once in a lifetime experience that will give you the chance to enjoy watching the coffee-making process from farm to cup. Expect an interactive coffee production experience where you will witness how coffee is harvested, and the hands-on experience will also give you the chance to harvest some beans, you will sort them, watch how the coffee is dried, sorted, pulped, roasted, and then packaged for export and domestic consumption. It is important to note that the process also involves hiking through the steep slopes, through the coffee trees, and also offers unique views of the 1000 rolling hills of Rwanda. At the climax of your safari experience, you will visit the different coffee display shops where you will buy some coffee to take home and souvenirs. Later on, visit the local community to see the economic impact of the initiative and the unique history of the area.
