2 Days Birding in Gishwati Mukura National Park Safari: The newly opened national park is the perfect destination for travelers interested in birding in Rwanda, which will give you the chance to access over 200 bird species, including the Albertine endemic species and migratory species. With birding in Gishwati Mukura, it is important to note that the best time to watch the species in the park is during the dry months of June- September and December and March, when visibility is easy, and trails are clear for you to move through the park.

Safari Details

Day 1&2 Full day birding safari

Meet up with your guide in Kigali city and make your way to Gishwati Mukura National Park, home to over 230 bird species. On both day 1 and day 2, you will get to participate in a full-day birding experience in Gishwati Mukura National Park. This will lead you to Albertine endemic species like the Rwenzori Turaco, the grey crowned crane, Dusky Crimson-wing, and many other bird species. Lunch and dinner on your first day will be at the Forest of Hope guest house. On your last day of the safari, connect with your guide after the birding experience and then transfer you back to Kigali city, where you will be dropped off at Kigali international airport.
