Day 1: Transfer to Akagera National Park and Ihema Boat Cruise 

You will be met by your driver guide at your agreed location in Kigali to transfer to Akagera National Park, where you will arrive in time to participate in a short game drive as you make your way to the hotel for lunch. Later in the afternoon, participate boat cruise on Lake Ihema, where you will see game like hippopotamuses, Crocodiles, and many bird species like the endangered shoebill stork, African kingfishers catching their prey from the Lake that live around the lake and the surrounding swamps. After the safari experience, head back to your hotel, and later you will get to participate in the night game drive, which will give you the chance to watch how the park comes to life when the sun sets.  dinner and overnight stay at Akagera game lodge (mid-range) Karenge bush camp (budget)

Day 2: Full-day bird watching tour and departure

After enjoying your morning breakfast, your bird watching journey an Akagera National Park. Visitors are always impressed by what they find, including a variety of bird species ranging from water, forest, savannah, and migratory species. Many of these birds are endemic to the park, and some are exceptionally rare, like the papyrus Gonolek. After the full day experience, you will be dropped off at a hotel of your choice at Kigali international airport in case you have a flight to catch back home, or drop off in Kigali city as you may advise.
