Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Meet up with your guide at an agreed location in Kigali city to transfer to Volcanoes National Park, where you will arrive in time to participate in the nature walk in the park, which will give you access to several rewarding views. You will watch several primates like the Hamlyn’s monkey, vervet monkey, and other primates. At Da Vinci hotel (mid-range), Hotel Muhabura (budget)
Day 2: Gorilla trekking
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up from your hotel. Our guide will meet you after having your breakfast and your lunches packed, and he will take you to Kinigi Headquarters, where you are expected to be given a brief before starting the gorilla trek. This brief is done at 7 am. You are given guidelines during this brief before you are allowed to start the trek. This gorilla trek can take anywhere from 2 hours to half a day, as it’s unpredictable. When you finally find the gorillas, you will have to maintain a 7 meters’ distance, and you are allowed one hour to admire and take photos of the gorillas. During the time you spend with the gorillas you will get the opportunity to understand a number of their rewarding features like how they co-exist with one another, you will get to watch the duty of the dominant silverback whose role is to mate with the adult females to increase the members of the family, raid other gorilla families for their members, you will watch the juveniles grooming one another for a rewarding safari experience.
Day 3: Full day birding and departure
After your early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will make your way to the park to participate in a full-day birding experience. This will take you on a walking trail that will lead you to several different bird species, like the Albertine endemic bird species, the Rwenzori Batis, and many other rewarding attractions after the safari experience. Make your way back to Kigali city, where you will be dropped off at a location of your choice at the end of your 3 Days Birding and Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park safari experience.
