Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Kibale National Park
Depending on your location in Kigali on the first day of your 3 days chimpanzee trekking in Uganda from Kigali, you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then start the journey to Kibale National Park passing through the Katuna border in Kabale. On the way you will enjoy great views of rolling hills in Rwanda, terraced farmlands and the beautiful people as they go about their daily activities among others. Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel for relaxation since the drive to the park from Kigali to the park is quite long but fulfilling with a number of different stopovers you will have and the different features you will get to observe in the park for an amazing safari experience. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and community tour
After an early breakfast, you will meet up with your driver guide to drive you to the Kanyachu Visitors Centre for a chimpanzee trekking briefing. After the briefing, you will start trekking in the forest to the playful primates in the wild and this takes between 45 minutes to 4 hours, depending on where the chimpanzees are located since they are quite mobile species that are always swinging from one tree branch to another. On getting to the chimpanzee troop, you will spend an hour with them observing a number of their rewarding features like how they co-exist with one another, you will watch how they groom one another, their feeding patterns as you take their pictures, and after the rewarding safari experience. head back to your hotel for relaxation and lunch and later in the afternoon you will participate in the community tour to understand more about the culture of the people of Uganda and their unique authentic cultural practices. Dinner and overnight stay as the night before.
Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, your driver guide will transfer you back to Kigali city where you will be dropped off at a location of your choice in Kigali city or Kigali International Airport and the end of your 3 days of chimpanzee trekking in Uganda from Kigali
