4 Days Nyungwe National Park and Volcanoes National Park Safari
These 4 days Nyungwe National Park and Volcanoes National Park safari will lead you to the top national parks in Rwanda which will give you access to the mountain gorillas in Rwanda when you participate in gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park where you will also get to participate in the cultural encounters which will lead you to the ibyi’ wacu cultural tour which will give you an insight of the authentic culture of the people of Rwanda. When you make you way to Nyungwe National Park, the primate hub of Rwanda where you will watch a number of primates like the vervet monkey, Mona monkey, Hamlyn’s monkey and many other primates. You will also have the chance to participate in the canopy walk in Rwanda which will give you rewarding views of the park at aerial view and when you participate in chimpanzee trekking in Rwanda, Nyungwe National Park, you will have the opportunity to have an up-close look at the species as they go about their daily activities in the wild for a memorable Rwanda safari.

DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1; TRANSFER TO VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK
After an early morning game drive at your lodge, freshen up and embark on your journey to Volcanoes National Park arriving Ruhengeri in the afternoon . You will have lunch at you lodge and later in the afternoon take part in a nature walk which will give you the opportunity to watch a number of rewarding attractions in the park like the different monkey species like the Hamlyn’s monkey, vervet monkey, dent’s monkey and many other attractions. Dinner and overnight stay at Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge (mid-range), Hotel muhabura (budget)
DAY 2: GOLDEN MONKEY TREK IN VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK.
As early at 6am, you will be expected to be up for breakfast and ready to set off for the trek. Our guide will meet you after having your breakfast and your lunches packed and he will take you to Kinigi Headquarters where you are expected to be given a brief before starting the gorilla trek. This brief is done at 7am. You are given guidelines during this brief before you are allowed to start the trek. After the trek, you will have lunch and taken back to your hotel as the night before to relax and reminisce on the experience. You can also embark on the iby’iwacu cultural village tour which will give you an insight of the people of Rwanda by visiting the local community which will give you the chance to observe their unique cultural values through dance, food and many other features that you will get to observe when you participate in the activity. After the experience, you will head back to your hotel for dinner and overnight will be at Muhabura Hotel (Budget) Le’bambou gorilla lodge (mid range)
DAY 3: TRANSFER TO NYUNGWE NATIONAL PARK AND CANOPY WALK
Breakfast will be served early meet your driver guide for your transfer to Nyungwe forest you will be driven southwards to Nyungwe forest National park watching a number of rewarding attractions like the rolling hills of Rwanda, the homesteads and so on. You will have a stopover in Butare, where you will visit the National Museum of Rwanda, the king’s palace in Nyanza with lunch en-route. After lunch, you head for the canopy walk in Nyungwe national park which will give you exceptional views of the park as you walk along the suspended metallic trail in the trees. You will get to see a number of primates swinging within the branches, like the chimpanzees, and different monkey species, you will see numerous bird species and after the rewarding experience, head back to your lodge/ hotel. Dinner and overnight at (Midrange) Gisakura visitor center (budget)
DAY 4: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING AND DEPARTURE
Enjoy breakfast and go for briefing before entering the forest, searching for the active and playful fellows in Nyungwe forest. The Chimpanzees are the easy to spot, as they jump from one tree to another, chattering and laughing. Chimp tracking usually takes about 3 hours. You will then return to your accommodation for lunch. After lunch, you will participate in an optional tea estate safari which will give you the chance to watch how the tea is harvested you will also participate in the harvesting process, how it is made among other interesting features at the estate. After the rewarding safari, you will make your way back to Kigali city which will mark the end of your safari you will transfer back to Kigali city where you will be dropped off at a location of your choice or and the end of your safari experience.
