Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls Np and a boat cruise

Depending on your location in Kampala city or your hotel in the city, you will be picked up as early as 6:30 am to embark on your drive to Murchison falls national park, the largest national park in Uganda. after the briefing session about your safari you will now embark on the drive along the Kampala-Gulu high way having a stopover in luwero district for some fresh organic fruits like oranges, pineapples, passion fruits, mangoes and so on. After the stopover you will make your way to the park reaching in time to participate in the boat cruise in Murchison falls national park. Before you participate in the boat cruise, you will participate in the top of falls hike which will give you rewarding top views of the world’s most powerful waterfalls. After spending time at the top of the falls, you will then make your way to participate in the afternoon/ evening boat cruise which will also give you rewarding views of the bottom of the falls in the park watching a number of bird species like African fish eagles, Red throated bee eaters, skimmers, cattle egrets not forgetting the rare shoebill stork and others. After the safari experience, head back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: full day game drive

After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up by your guide to transfer to the park’s plains to watch a number of different animal species. Some of the species that can be seen include the big cats as they hunt for their prey in the wild, the early risers like the elephants, Uganda kobs and many herbivores catching their first bite of the day. Like the elephants, lions, giraffes, antelopes, jackals, hyenas, Uganda kobs, Oribis, buffaloes, waterbucks, Jackson’s Hartebeests, bushbucks and hopefully the elusive leopards and others. After the experience, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will make your way to Kibale national park. You will have stopovers for lunch and you will reach the park late in the evening. You will relax, refresh, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking

after an early morning breakfast at your hotel with your packed lunch, you will be picked by your guide for the hotel who will transfer you to Kibale national park for you to take part in the chimpanzee trekking in Uganda. On reaching the park headquarters, you will participate in a briefing session of chimpanzee habituation in the park, the rules and regulations to follow during the memorable activity. After the briefing session, you will transfer to the forest watching a number of different attractions from the different bird species like the Albertine endemic bird species, species from the Guinea-Congo biome and many more. you should consider carrying your binoculars because the park is one of the top destinations for birding in Uganda.

Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale National Park

You will also get to watch the primate species like the mon a monkey, vervet monkey, black and white colobus monkey, Hamlyn’s monkey and many other rewarding attractions. On reaching the chimpanzee troop, you will send an hour with the species understanding their different features, taking their pictures understanding more about their rewarding features in the wild. Later in the afternoon, you can participate in an optional cultural tour or you will visit the Bigodi wetland sanctuary where you will participate in the nature walk which will give you to access to watch a number of different features in the wild. After the rewarding experience in the park, you will transfer back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY THREE: CULTURAL TOUR AND DEPARTURE

After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will checkout and embark on a cultural tour to understand more about the cultural of the people of Rwanda through their dance, cultural food and a number of different cultural aspects when you visit their cultural villages. After the experience make your way back to Kampala city where you will be dropped at a location of your choice in Kampala city or Entebbe international airport and the end of your 5 days Murchison falls national park and Kibale national park safari.
