1 Day Gishwati Mukura National Park Safari: Gishwati Mukura National Park is a newly formed national park in Rwanda that travelers should not miss out on visiting for travelers interested in primate safaris in Rwanda with a number of different attractions that can be seen like the chimpanzees, the different monkey species and other attractions. In this article, we are going to give you an insight into a 1 day Gishwati Mukura National Park safari which will lead you to chimpanzee trekking in Rwanda.
As early as 5:00 am, our driver guide will pick you up from a location of your choice in Kigali city to transfer you to Gishwati Mukura National Park to embark on chimpanzee trekking in Gishwati mukura National park. On reaching the park, you will go straight to the reception present your chimpanzee trekking permits in Gishwati Mukura National Park for verification. After the verification process, you will participate in the briefing session for chimpanzee trekking in the park. during th session, you will understand the different rules and regulations to follow to have a safe and memorable safari experience since you will encounter a number of wildlife species. After the briefing session, you will embark on you walk through the forest to your assigned chimpanzee troop. While hiking through the forests, you will get to watch a number of different attractions from the bird species like the; long-crested eagle handsome Francolin, Rwenzori Batis Dusky turtle love, paradise flycatcher, archer’s ground robin, African Rwenzori, double collared sunbird, marsh harrier, Ruwenzori turaco, common moorhen Ruwenzori night jar, grey throated tit, the dusky crimson wing, red-faced woodland warbler numerous primates like the Hamlyn’s monkey, Mona monkey, black and colobus monkey, the silver monkey. You will be accompanied by a knowledgeable guide who will give you all the relevant information about the safari experience and a ranger to ensure you have a safe experience. on getting to the chimpanzee troops, you will spend an hour with the species understanding a number of the different features of the primates in the wild. You will ask as many questions as possible and the guide will answer them, take pictures of the species and after the experience, head back to your starting point where you will be presented your chimpanzee trekking certificate. Later on you can either participate in an optional nature walk which will give you the chance to watch a number of different attractions and after head back to Kigali where you will be dropped off at a location of your choice in Kigali city or Kigali International Airport and the end of your 1 day Gishwati mukura national park safari.
