2 days Kamiranzovu trail safari in Rwanda
DAY 1: Arrival, transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park and coffee tour
On day 1 of the 2 days Kamiranzovu trail safari in Rwanda, you will be picked by the driver from your hotel in Kigali and drive southwards to Nyungwe Forest National Park. You will have a stopover in Butare, where you will visit the National Museum of Rwanda, and the King’s Palace in Nyanza with lunch en route. Before you make your way to the Park you will have a stopover at the Huye Women’s Coffee Cooperative which will take you on a 2-hour’s safari at the coffee plantation understanding more about the coffee-making process from harvesting, sorting, and cleaning until it is processed. You will also get to watch how coffee has improved the livelihoods of the neighboring communities through women’s empowerment for an amazing safari experience. After the safari experience, make your way to the park and check in your hotel. Dinner and overnight at Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe Hill Top View Hotel.
DAY 2: Kamiranzovu trail hike and transfer back to Kigali
On the last day of the 2 days Kamiranzovu trail safari in Rwanda, enjoy breakfast and, you will go on the hike to Kamiranzovu trail which will take you on a nearly 6-kilometer trail. What is interesting about the trail is it’s not a difficult trail so an inexperienced person can also hike it. The trail will lead you to the Kamiranzovu marsh with unique vegetation covered by the forested mountains, you will watch the breathtaking kamiranzovu waterfall which offers the perfect backdrop for photographs. Depending on your preference, you can participate in the shorter trip which is a 4km round trip that starts from trailhead 1 to the orchid loop. While visiting the marsh, you will get to watch a number of attractions from the grauer’s rush warbler Albertine endemic species and many other attractions, after connecting to your guide who will transfer you back to Kigali city.
