This 2 Days Mount Bisoke Hike takes you to Mount Bisoke one of the most rewarding Virunga mountains in Rwanda when you make your way to Volcanoes National Park, the home to the habituated gorilla families in Rwanda since the park is famous for gorilla trekking in Africa. Although Volcanoes National Park is famous for its mountain gorillas, there’s a lot more you can watch in the park including the Virunga mountains that you can hike for an amazing safari experience. With this 2 day Mount Bisoke hike, you will hike to the summit which will help you discover the different features in the park from the endangered Albertine endemic primate species like the golden monkeys, you will also get to watch the different bird species in the wild.

Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes Musanze

On day 1 of the 2 Days Mount Bisoke Hike, at an agreed location in Kigali city Kigali International Airport/ or any area in the country where you will be picked by our representative/ driver guide who will brief you about the if you’re interested, you can participate in the Kigali city tour which will include a visit to the local market and the Kigali Genocide memorial museum to understand more the Rwanda genocide. Later transfer you to visit the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo en route. Arrive at Musanze and spend the evening at leisure relaxing at the lodge as you prepare for the next day’s hike or visiting the surrounding village Overnight: Da Vinci Gorilla Lodge (mid-range) Hotel Muhabura (budget)

Day 2; Bisoke  Hike Volcanoes National Park

You will enjoy breakfast and set out for the Mt. Bisoke hike which is part of the Virunga mountain ranges shared by Mgahinga National Park in Uganda, Virunga National Park, and Volcanoes National Park while hiking the On reaching the summit, you will discover a beautiful crater lake and the whole experience is overwhelming! Along the trail, you will discover a lot of birdlife and captivating scenery – the reason Rwanda is referred to as the “land of a thousand hills”. After the hike, you will have lunch and transfer to Kigali city where time allows, you will visit the genocide museum and later transfer to the airport for your onward flight or dropped at your hotel in Kigali and at the end of your Rwanda tour.
