Day 1: Transfer To Akagera National Park
At 8:00 am, you will be picked up by your driver guide in your safari jeep at your agreed location in Kigali to transfer to Akagera National Park. Upon arrival at the Akagera National Park Reception Desk, you can take your time to relax and use the toilet facilities. Your driver guide will wait in the parking area until you are ready and then will transfer you to your Lodge to relax. Late after lunch at the hotel, you can take part in the game drive in Akagera National Park any time in the afternoon, if you choose. This game drive would be with your driver guide, not with the additional park ranger who will be joining on day 2. During the game drive, you will have the chance to watch a number of game animals and depending on your guide who will be taking you on the different trails he will communicate the time you will be heading back to your lodge. Day 2: Full Day Game Drive
Summary of what is included: This full day game drive day includes access to the safari land cruiser with driver guide and additional park guide/ranger from 6:30 am-5 pm. It is up to you to communicate with your driver guide about when you would like to be picked up and dropped off at your hotel throughout the day. Day 2 details: Rise up early with your packed lunch and go for a game drive with great anticipation of seeing the different animals that rise early to graze and predators like the lions, hyenas, leopards and many more looking for their early morning kill. Have a break for lunch at one of the picnic spots or cafes within the Park (with toilet facilities), and then continue with the game drive in the afternoon. Throughout the day, your guide will be able to suggest game drive destinations based on recent animal spottings. After the experience, head back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay as the night before.
Day 3: Departure
On this day, you will wake up early, have an early morning breakfast at your hotel, participate in a half-game drive, and later check out and make your way back to Kigali city where you will be dropped off at a location of your choice or Kigali international airport.
