Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer Semuliki National Park

On day 1 of the 5 days Toro Semuliki and Bwindi impenetrable National Park Safari, depending on your location in Kampala city, you will be met by our guide who will brief you about your 2 days Toro Semuliki National Park. After the briefing session, you will embark on the drive to the park, during the drive, a number of different features can be seen like the papyrus, and the people of Uganda going about their daily activities in the wild. When you reach Fort Portal, you will have lunch and later you will make your way to visit the Amabeere ga nyinamwiru caves. After the experience, you will make your way to the park to visit the hot springs male and female hot springs which are believed to have healing properties. After the safari experience, make your way to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay at Semuliki safari lodge.

Day 2: Boat cruise, game drive, and transfer back to Bwindi

On day 2 of the 5 days Toro Semuliki and Bwindi impenetrable National Park Safari, after an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will participate in a boat cruise along Lake Albert which will give you the ultimate safari experience watching a number of different attractions like the numerous species like the white-throated blue swallow, swamp palm bulbul, spotted greenbul and many more. After the safari experience, you will then participate in the game drive which shall reward you with a number of attractions like the forest elephants, you will watch a number of antelopes, duikers, squirrels, deers, and a number of different attractions. After the safari experience, head back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park

On day 3 of the 5 days Toro Semuliki and Bwindi impenetrable National Park Safari, after an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. On reaching, you will participate in the Batwa experience where you will have cultural encounters with an interesting group of people known as the Batwa who have a unique way of living. The Batwa are forest dwellers who depend on forest products like fruits and small creatures that they hunt for food. Interesting about the Batwa is the fact that they live harmoniously with forest creatures like elephants, monkeys, antelopes, and so on. After the encounters with the Batwa community, you will proceed to Kisoro town for lunch and then transfer to your lodge near the sector where you will carry out gorilla trekking.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Uganda

After an early morning breakfast and packed lunch, you will embark on their journey to carry out gorilla trekking activity. Depending on your permit, you will transfer to the sector where the gorilla family you’re going to trek is. The activity will involve you hiking through the rugged terrain and it can take a given amount of time approximately 2-8 hours but with the help of the guide, it will be easy to locate the gentle giants.

On locating and coming into contact with the gorillas, you will spend one hour with them and here you can take pictures of them, and watch how they groom one another, and how they live amongst one another which is quite interesting to watch. After the exciting experience, you will head back to your hotel for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer back to Kigali

After an early morning breakfast, you will check out of your hotel and you will embark on your journey back to Kigali city. It will take approximately four hours to reach the city which will be the beginning of another adventure. A city tour will be carried out and you will be able to visit a number of attractions for instance the Kigali genocide memorial museum where different displays are showcased, the memorial museum will take you back to the time of the brutality where a number of Tutsis were killed. The trip to the museum will be heartbreaking but will in the end restore hope in the people.

Lunch will be served in Kigali and after You will also visit the Kimironko market where a number of African crafts and arts are sold which you can buy as souvenirs, the market is another cultural encounter that will be exciting while on the safari because in the market, different traders from Uganda, Congo, Rwanda and other countries come together to participate and showcase different arts and crafts, food products, vegetables, household necessities, shoes among others can be bought. After the trip to the Kimoronko market, our driver/ guide will drop you at your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
