Four sectors

Bwindi impenetrable national park is a primeval forest located in southwestern Uganda in the districts of Kisoro, Kabale and Kanungu, the park comprises of four sectors of the park that is Nkuringo, Ruhija, Rushaga and Buhoma where you will access a number of different attractions from the bird species, the primates and a number of herbivores.

Nkuringo sector, on the other hand is found in the southern part of the park in Kisoro,  and can also be accessed from kampala city or Kigali city through the cyanika border and Ruhija sector is located in Rubanda district and can easily accessible by road from kampala and also you can access it by air when you book a flight with Aero link from Entebbe international airport to Kihihi airstrip.

Buhoma sector on the other hand, are the official park headquarters located in the northern section of the park it is 8 hours away from kampala city for travellers accessing the park on road and for those that use air transport they can book a flight through  aero link where you will access Kihihi  airstrip and just 2 hours  from Queen Elizabeth national park through the ishasha sector where you can combine the two national parks to enjoy both parks also having the chance to watch the tree climbing lions in the wild.

Bird species
