Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Kibale forest national park

Depending on your location in Kampala city, you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will take you through a briefing session about your safari and then make your way Kibale national park. The journey will take you about 5 to 6 hours’ drive which will give you spectacular views of the local people, farmlands, traditional homesteads, Rwenzori Mountains, tea plantations among others. You will have en-route lunch in Fort Portal and then continue the journey to Kibale national park and upon arrival you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at a hotel of your choice.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

After an early breakfast on at your hotel lodge you will meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kanyachu Visitors Centre for chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park where you will take part in the briefing session for the rules and regulations of chimpanzee trekking in Uganda. After the briefing session, you will be allocated a habituated chimpanzee troop to trek which is also safe to visit because they are used to human presence. You will also be allocated to a park guide who is well knowledgeable about the trails in the park that will lead you to the habituated troop. Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale forest national park takes about 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on their location and movement they like to move from one place to another this is because the chimpanzees are very active species that are always on the move in search of food. After accessing the chimpanzee troops, you will get to spend one hour with them observing their rewarding features in the wild. After the one-hour encounter with the chimpanzees you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will meet up with your driver guide and start the journey to Queen Elizabeth national park having en-route lunch on the way and then continue the journey to the park and take part in the afternoon game drive where you will be able to view animals like the elephants, buffalos, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, bushbucks, warthogs among others. After the game drive you will drive to the lodge check in, have dinner and overnight stay at Elephant plains lodge-luxury/ Elephant hub lodge-midrange or Pumba safari cottages-budget.

Day 3: Morning game drive/ lion tracking experience and afternoon boat cruise

After an early breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked by your guide who will transfer you to the park plains to take part in the game drive which will give you the chance to watch a number of rewarding game animals like the herbivores for example the elephants, elands, gazelles, bush bucks grazing in the plains. Alternatively, instead of the game drive you can take par/ lion tracking experience in Kasenyi plains. During the game drive you will have great views of the sunrise, big four mammals which are lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, other animals like waterbucks, bushbucks, Uganda kobs, views of different bird species among others. After the game drive you will return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will participate in the boat cruise on the Kazinga channel where you will watch concentrations of hippos and Nile crocodiles in water, view buffaloes, elephants, warthogs drinking water along the banks, view water birds like yellow billed stork, cormorants, hornbills, African skimmer, kingfishers, fish eagles among others.

 Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park via Ishasha sector        

On the 4th day of your 6 days Uganda safari, After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will make your way to Bwindi impenetrable national park through the ishasha sector which will give you the chance to watch the tree climbing lions in queen Elizabeth national park. The journey takes about 4 to 5 hours’ drive you will also watch other animals like elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, hippos, view some bird species among others. After the game drive in Ishasha sector you will have en-route lunch and then continue to Bwindi impenetrable national park and upon arrival you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma lodge-luxury/ Buhoma haven lodge-midrange or Buhoma community rest camp-budget.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park

After an early breakfast at your hotel with your packed lunch from the lodge meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing session for the rules and regulations for gorilla trekking in Uganda. After the briefing session you will be allocated a habituated gorilla family to trek and a park guide who is well knowledgeable about the different trails. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park takes about 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on where the gorillas are located because they like to move from one place to another in search of food. During trekking you will enjoy spectacular views of others primates, animals, plants, bird species among others. Once the gorillas are found you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you an opportunity to learn more about their behaviors. After the exciting moment with the mountain gorillas you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will meet up with your driver guide to transfer back to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 6: Departure to Kampala

On the 6th day of your 6 days Uganda safari, After your early morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your guide to transfer back to Kampala. On the way you will have a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch where after you will continue the journey with another stopover at the Equator to take photos and buy souvenirs. From the Equator you will proceed to Kampala arriving early evening and upon arrival your driver guide will drop you off at Entebbe international airport for your departure flight or drop off at any place you may advise in Kampala city. End of 6 days Kibale, Bwindi and Queen Elizabeth National park safari
