This 1 day Nyungwe National Park safari will take you southwards of Rwanda to Africa’s oldest rain forest, Nyungwe Forest, to embark on chimpanzee trekking in Rwanda. The park is home to 13 primate species, including the black and white colobus monkeys, and 350 bird species, making it one of the top destinations for primate and wildlife safaris in Rwanda. This 1 day Nyungwe National Park safari will start from pick up at a location of your choice in Gisenyi, Kibuye or areas near the park. On reaching the park, you will make your way to Gisakura visitor centre, the western entrance of Nyungwe national park and the point in the park where all park activities start. At the visitor centre, you will go through a briefing session for chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe National Park. After the briefing session, which involves understanding the rules and regulations of chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe National Park, you will be assigned to a ranger and a park guide to ensure you have a safe and memorable safari experience. While hiking through the Nyungwe forests, you will watch a number of different bird species and many other attractions. After you get to the species, you will follow them as they roam throughout the forests observing a number of their rewarding features, like how they co-exist with one another, you will watch their eating patterns, social hierarchy and many of their interesting features. Take their pictures, and after your time with the species elapses, you will connect with your guide who will drop you at a location of your choice near the park or Kigali city and the end of your 1 day Nyungwe National Park safari.
