3 Days Cyinzibe Trail Hike
The Cyinzobe trail is one of the different trails in Nyungwe forest national park, which is among the moderately difficult trails in the park. If travelers are interested in challenging hiking experiences, then this 3 days cyinzobe trail hike will answer all your nature questions. The multi-day trail will give you access to the Kamiranzovu swamp, the largest Marsh in Rwanda, and the Kamiranzovu waterfalls. You will also have access to a number of flora and fauna, like the different primate species, small animals, breathtaking panoramic views, and other attractions. Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe national park and embark on the hike
From an agreed location in Kigali city, you will meet up with the guide to transfer you to Nyungwe forest national park having a stopover at Nyanza at the King’s palace. At the palace, you will understand more about the culture of the people of Rwanda through their cultural dances, you will watch the sacred long-horned cattle known as the Inyambo cattle, and many other attractions. After the experience, you will make your way to the park to embark on the cyinzobe trail experience, starting from the Uwinka visitor center for the briefing session for your safari experience. The experience starts as early as 1:00 pm, and this will embark on the hike through the forests in the park that will take you along the western ridge with stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. After the safari experience, you will make your way to the first cabin for dinner and an overnight stay at the wooden cabins inside the park.

Day 2: Hike from the first campsite to the second cabin
After an early morning breakfast at the campsite, you will explore the Kamiranzovu swamp, the largest marsh in the country. You will have exceptional attractions like the different bird species, including the Albertine endemic species like the Grauer’s rush warbler, and primates can also be seen during the hike to the Kamiranzovu trail. You will also get to watch the Kamiranzovu waterfalls that have rewarding views for photography and many other rewarding attractions. After the experience, continue to campsite 2 for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Finalize the hike and depart back to Kigali city
Have breakfast and complete your hike from the 2nd campsite, hiking back to Gisakura visitor center, finishing the hike with a total of 23 kilometres hiked. After the experience, connect with our guide and make your way back to Kigali city, where you will be dropped off, in Kigali city and this will mark the end of your 3 days cyinzobe trail hike.
Important to note about the experience is the fact that the activity is carried out in a group size of 3 people, which is the minimum number of people, and the maximum is 10 people
