This 3 days Congo wildlife safari will give you the ultimate gorilla trekking experience in Congo when you embark on your safari to Kahuzi Biega National Park. The park is home to the eastern lowland gorillas, which are another unique gorilla species that are quite different from the famous mountain gorillas that can be seen while participating in gorilla trekking in Virunga National Park. These are found in the lowland areas of Mount Kahuzi and Mount Biega and these can be seen when you participate in gorilla trekking in Kahuzi Biega National Park while on your Congo safari. Day 1: Pick-up from Kigali, Rwanda, and cross to Bukavu

Depending on your location in Kigali, our company representative-guide/driver will pick you up and embark on your journey to Kahuzi Biega National Park. The drive will take you about 7 hours, which will give you the chance to watch a number of rewarding attractions, including the rolling hills in Rusizi with stopovers for lunch and refreshments. Cross through the Cyangugu border to Bukavu town in the Democratic Republic of Congo. On arrival at Bukavu, the  nearest town to Kahuzi Biega, make your way to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Panorama

Day 2: Lowland gorilla trekking

After enjoying your breakfast at the lodge, drive to the park headquarters for briefing about the Eastern lowland gorillas which will give you an insight of whate to expect on your safari   You will then set off to your fascinating experience of the lowland gorillas in the valleys of Kahuzi as you encounter different mammals, the sight of the activities birds and primates. It’s usually a 1-6-hour’ experience of the jungle, depending on their movement, while watching them interact/play with each other as you take photos and videos. You will then descend back and meet up with your driver to drive back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay at Panorama Hotel.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali

Have an early morning breakfast and head back to Kigali city. It’s a 7-hour drive passing through Nyungwe national park again, en route visit to the King’s palace in Nyanza and Butare national museum before proceeding to Kigali with lunch en route, connect to Kigali airport for your ongoing flight.
