Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park from Kigali city
Depending on your location in Kigali city, make your way to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the capital for the mountain gorillas in Uganda, Africa. When you make your way to the park, you will have the chance to embark on the nature walks, which will give you access to primates like the Mona monkeys, dent’s monkey, hamlyn’s monkey, silver monkeys, and many more. You will also watch different bird species, including the Albertine endemic species, as you embark on Munyaga River trail, Rushura hill trails, and others, which will give you access to about 10 bird species on your birding expeditions. After the experience, head to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla habituation in Bwindi
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel with your packed lunch, you will make your way to the park’s headquarters for a briefing session on gorilla habituation in Uganda, and you will also be assigned to a guide and ranger for your gorilla tours. With gorilla habituation, you will accompany a group of researchers and guides who focus on training the species to get used to human presence, which is quite thrilling because you will enjoy watching the authentic reactions of the species and also get involved in the training session. After the safari experience, you will head back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Gorilla trekking and departure to Kigali city
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel with your packed lunch, embark on gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The safari experience will lead you through the impenetrable rainforests that have slippery trails, muddy trails; therefore, the perfect hiking shoes are a must to ensure a smooth experience within the park. You will watch a number of attractions on your way to the gorilla family, like the Albertine endemic bird and primate species, different monkey species, and many more. Day 4: Kigali city tour

Day 5: Transfer to Akagera National Park and a full Game drive
Wake up early, enjoy breakfast and then make your way to Akagera national park to participate in the full day game drive in akagera national park. The first half of the game drive will give you the chance to watch the early risers like the elands, gazelles, buffaloes, oribi, and many herbivores as they graze within the endless savannah plains.
